SSC GD Constable Exam 2025 : Eligibility Criteria

    1. Local Status

      • Candidate must be a local resident of Andhra Pradesh.

      • (Definition of Local Candidate is provided in Annexure-I of this Notification.)

    2. Age Limit (as on 01-05-2025)

      • Minimum Age: 18 years

      • Maximum Age: 50 years

      • (Age will be verified based on SSC certificate only.)

    3. Gender

      • Both Male and Female candidates are eligible to apply.

    4. Educational Qualification

      • Must have passed Intermediate (10+2) or equivalent from a recognized board.

    5. Technical Requirements

      • Must possess good computer knowledge, including MS Office, Internet, and Typing skills.

    6. Driving License

      • Must possess a valid Driving License for either LMV (Light Motor Vehicle) or HMV (Heavy Motor Vehicle).

    7. Physical Standards

      • Men: Minimum height of 160 cm

      • Women: Minimum height of 150 cm

      • (Relaxation of 5 cm in height for Scheduled Tribes (STs) only.)

    8. Character and Antecedents

      • Candidate must have satisfactory character and antecedents, which will be verified by the Police Department.

    9. Medical Fitness

      • Candidate must be physically and mentally fit for service.

SSC GD Constable Exam 2025 : Educational Qualification

  • Must have passed Intermediate (10+2) or equivalent

  • Additional preference for candidates with:

    • BCA / B.Sc. (Computers) / MCA / B.Tech (CS/IT)

    • Any certified computer/IT training

    • Valid LMV or HMV Driving License

For Ex-Servicemen

  • Can apply if fulfilling physical and educational requirements

  • Must be physically and mentally fit

SSC GD Constable Online Form 2025 : SELECTION PROCESS

The selection of candidates will be carried out in the following stages:

a. Scrutiny of Applications

  • All received applications will be screened to ensure they meet the prescribed eligibility criteria.

b. Certificate Verification

  • Candidates must produce original documents for verification.

  • Failure to produce required documents will result in disqualification.

c. Physical Measurement Test (PMT)

  • Male Candidates: Minimum height of 160 cm

  • Female Candidates: Minimum height of 150 cm

  • ST Women Candidates: Minimum height of 145 cm

  • Candidates not meeting the prescribed physical standards will be disqualified.

d. Skill Test

  • Computer Knowledge Test: Assessment of proficiency in:

    • MS Office

    • Internet browsing

    • Typing

    • Drafting skills

    • Other relevant computer applications

  • Driving Test: Practical driving test to assess operational skills with LMV/HMV.
