Payscale Details (Post wise)

Here are the payscale details for the various positions in the NTPC recruitment:

  1. DGM (E7 Level):

    • Pay Scale: Rs. 1,00,000 – Rs. 2,60,000
    • Additional Benefits: DA, HRA/Company Accommodation, Medical facilities, PRP, Group Insurance, Terminal Benefits, etc., as per company rules.
  2. Manager (E5 Level):

    • Pay Scale: Rs. 80,000 – Rs. 2,20,000
    • Additional Benefits: DA, HRA/Company Accommodation, Medical facilities, PRP, Group Insurance, Terminal Benefits, etc., as per company rules.
  3. Deputy Manager (E4 Level):

    • Pay Scale: Rs. 70,000 – Rs. 2,00,000
    • Additional Benefits: DA, HRA/Company Accommodation, Medical facilities, PRP, Group Insurance, Terminal Benefits, etc., as per company rules.
  4. Assistant Manager (E3 Level):

    • Pay Scale: Rs. 60,000 – Rs. 1,80,000

  5. Executive on Fixed Term Basis:

Educational Qualifications

For all positions, the candidate must be a Member of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI). A Membership Certificate and Final Marksheet issued by ICSI are required as proof.

Experience Requirements:

  1. DGM (E7 Level) – 1 Post:

    • Experience Requirement:
      • For candidates currently working in Govt./Public Sector Undertakings: Minimum 16 years of post-qualification experience (including minimum 4 years in a listed company) in the executive cadre in the relevant area. At least 3 years’ experience in the post and scale of Rs. 90,000-2,40,000 (IDA pay scale of E6 grade or above).
      • For candidates currently working in Private Sector: Minimum 16 years of post-qualification experience (including minimum 4 years in a listed company) in the executive cadre in the relevant area.
  2. Manager (E5 Level) – 2 Posts:

    • Experience Requirement:
      • For candidates currently working in Govt./Public Sector Undertakings: Minimum 11 years of post-qualification experience (including minimum 2 years in a listed company) in the executive cadre in the relevant area. At least 3 years’ experience in the post and scale of Rs. 70,000-2,00,000 (IDA pay scale of E4 grade or above).
      • For candidates currently working in Private Sector: Minimum 11 years of post-qualification experience (including minimum 2 years in a listed company) in the executive cadre in the relevant area.
  3. Deputy Manager (E4 Level) – 1 Post:

    • Experience Requirement:
      • For candidates currently working in Govt./Public Sector Undertakings: Minimum 9 years of post-qualification experience in the executive cadre in the relevant area. At least 3 years’ experience in the post and scale of Rs. 60,000-1,80,000 (IDA pay scale of E3 grade or above).
      • For candidates currently working in Private Sector: Minimum 9 years of post-qualification experience in the executive cadre in the relevant area.
  4. Assistant Manager (E3 Level) – 2 Posts:

    • Experience Requirement:
      • For candidates currently working in Govt./Public Sector Undertakings: Minimum 7 years of post-qualification experience in the executive cadre in the relevant area. At least 3 years’ experience in the post and scale of Rs. 50,000-1,60,000 (IDA pay scale of E2 grade or above).
      • For candidates currently working in Private Sector: Minimum 7 years of post-qualification experience in the executive cadre in the relevant area.
  5. Executive on Fixed Term Basis – 3 Posts:

    • Experience Requirement:
      • Minimum 3 years of post-qualification experience in the relevant area in a Govt. company/Public Sector Undertaking or Private company.

Additional Notes:

      • Candidates from Govt./Public Sector Undertakings need to submit documents showing the minimum years of service in the prescribed scale.
      • For candidates from the Private Sector, the candidate should submit Form 16 related to Income Tax Return for the last 3 financial years.

Mode Of Selection

The selection for the posts will be done through the following process:

  1. Application Shortlisting:

    • Candidates will first be screened based on the details provided in their applications. Shortlisting will be based on the eligibility criteria, such as qualification, experience, etc.
  2. Written/Computer-Based Test (if required):

    • If there are many eligible applicants, the company reserves the right to conduct a written exam or computer-based test to further shortlist candidates for the interview process.

    • Shortlisted candidates will be called for a personal interview. The interview will assess the candidate’s professional knowledge, communication skills, experience, and other relevant abilities.

  5. Under Graduation/Post Graduation Degree (if applicable) – Consolidated Marksheet/Transcript/all semester marksheets/Degree indicating aggregate % of marks in all semesters
  6. Caste/Disability Certificate (For SC/ST/OBC-NCL/PWBD/EWS candidates) as applicable
  7. OBC-NCL Certificate should be in central format for the current financial year (FY 2024-25)
  8. EWS Certificate based on the Income & Asset certificate for FY 2023-24 in the prescribed format
  9. Disability Certificates generated online through the Swavalamban/UDID portal, showing type & percentage of disability
  10. Documents in Support of Relevant Experience (Experience certificates, appointment letter, offer letter, promotion order, transfer order, service certificate, relieving letter, pay slips)
  11. For Candidates in the Private Sector – Form 16 for the last 3 financial years
